Certified Production Technician and CPT+

The Certified Production Technician (CPT) and CPT+ certificates prepares and recognizes individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of advanced manufacturing production at front-line positions. The CPT program consists of five individual certificate modules: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing Processes & Production; Maintenance Awareness and Green Production. On top of regular CPT credentials, an additional CPT+ certificate is available as a “stackable” credential. CPT+ certification incorporates Amatrol's Skill Boss a computer controlled machine that teaches the skills to work in a computer-driven, data-intensive advanced manufacturing workplace.

Certified Logistics Technician (CLT)

The Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) program is designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of material handling and supply chain logistics jobs in fufillment centers. The CLT program consists of two parts: The foundational-level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) Certificate and the mid-level technical CLT Certification.

Certified Forklift Technician (CFT)

Developed as a joint partnership between MSSC and Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA), the Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) program certifies and recognizes individuals who demonstrate core competencies involved in the maintenance, service, and repair of forklift vehicles. The CFT credential gives technical and community college students the tools to enter career pathways within the material handling industry. CFT also helps grow the skills of entry-level forklift technicians, enhancing their performance in the world of material handling.

Manufacturing Skill Standards Council

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), is an industry-led, training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling workers. The nationwide MSSC System, based upon industry-defined and federally-endorsed standards, offers both entry-level and incumbent workers the opportunity to demonstrate that they have acquired the skills increasingly needed in the technology-intensive jobs of the 21st century.

MSSC offers three certifications, the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT), the Certified Production Technician (CPT) and the Certified Forklift Technician.
